The Vail MLS has added a new required field at listing input. The new required field is Audio Surveillance. The answer will either be, yes or no. Please make sure that you ask your seller if their property has audio surveillance.

This was added because Colorado is a single-consent state. That means only one party has to agree to the recording of the conversation. For example, a prerecorded message or posted sign, so long as it is clear in explaining that a conversation will be recorded, constitutes adequate notice of consent. Simply being aware of a recording taking place gives an implied consent to the recording and may be used to counter any claim that the recording was obtained illegally.

This new field is a searchable field and Patty will be adding this information to the Vail MLS Broker Detail report.

If you have any further questions regarding this required field please contact Patty Sandoval, Vail MLS Director at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
